Halloween

I realize I'm super behind on my blogging...which is normal. I'm slowly catching up. We didn't do much for Halloween. Every year, Eastern Washington University has a trick-or-treating Halloween event where kids can go trick-or-treating at all the different buildings on campus, and it ends with a little Halloween fair/party where they can play games and get treats for free. We did that this year with some of Eventide's cousins, and decided to skip our ward's Trunk-or-Treat on account of Eventide having enough candy and being super tired. This year, Eventide was a chef and Memory was a Strawberry.

The Prince won't go to bed!

Eventide really likes this book, so we read it to her a lot, especially at bed time. The Queen and King are at the ball, and the nanny can not get the prince to go to bed. They try patty cake, a bubble bath, a new fluffy pillow, but every time they think he has finally fallen asleep and they try to sneak off...
"WAA! WAA! WAA! I will not go to bed!"
the teeny-tiny, itty bitty, little prince said.

So they give him pudding, softer mattresses, music...but no matter what they do...
"WAA! WAA! WAA! I will not go to bed!"
the teeny-tiny, itty bitty, little prince said.

Princess Kate, his sister, hears the commotion and comes to see what she can do and discovers that the Royal Court has thought of everything but a GOODNIGHT KISS! So they all give the teeny-tiny, itty bitty, little prince a kiss and he finally falls asleep!

The Onesie series

Some of my family decorated onesies for Memory. To be more accurate, they told my sister Jessica what they wanted on the onesies, and she did it for them (except Candice, who decorated her own!). They are soooo cute and I am bummed that they are getting too small for Mems!

"Aunt Jeska is my favorite" There was a heart on the butt too, but I didn't get a picture of it.

Independence Day

For July 4th this year we went to Mitchell's brother Andy's house for a BBQ. Eventide had a blast! She was like the energizer bunny and was going non-stop all day. She had a blast playing with her cousins. Around 7:00 we (just me, Mitch, and the girls) drove to Riverfront Park to see fireworks. We sat down next to a family with several girls (one of them around Eventide's age) in which Eventide made quick friends with, of course! The fireworks didn't start until 10:00, so we just hung around for a few hours. Eventide was a little startled by the fireworks, but loved them nonetheless. It was worth the time and effort! We had a good 4th of July! (Our camera battery died a couple hours after we got to Andy's, so the pictures are limited)

Bouncer

I realize that this is likely to be a pretty boring video to anyone who is not me or my family...I'm her mom...so I just think my children are fascinating and adorable. Adorable enough to record a video of Memory playing in her bouncer for like 5 minutes.

"Memory"

I didn't catch the beginning of the song, which is too bad, because it was the loudest part. If you can't tell what she'd singing, look up "Memory" by Elaine Paige on youtube. I just love this little girl!

BTW, this was just after dinner. I was doing the dishes and she was finishing up eating and playing with her jar of pennies. And of course, belting out a song at the top of her lungs.

Making up for the nap she missed
