Seattle

Mitchell had to go to Seattle to present at a Psychology conference, so we went along with them, since I had never been there before. We drove a rental (a 2013 Dodge Caravan, if I remember correctly) and it was dreamy! :) We got there Tuesday night and just settled in to the hotel.

On Wednesday, Mitchell rode on the tram with us to the Pacific Science Center, and then left us there to go to the conference. He met back up with us around 4, we picked up pizza for dinner then headed back to the hotel.
On the tram, or the train, as Eventide calls it.
At the 3D Imax theater at the Pacific Science Center. We saw a movie about Monarch butterflies.

Eventide wore her 3D glasses until there was a large close up view of a caterpillar which freaked her out and I couldn't convince her to put them back on for the rest of the movie.
Eventide loves chess, so this was especially exciting.

Too loud!

There was a horse just outside the Westlake Center (where we get on/off the tram)

On Thursday, Mitchell left for the conference while the girls and I took the tram by ourselves to go to the Seattle Children's Museum. We went to Cheesecake Factory (right across from the hotel) for dinner, where both girls zonked out from our busy day.

The little grocery store-Eventide favorite part. She still talks about it.

On Friday, we had leftover cheesecake for breakfast (why not?) and the girls and I took a break and hung out in the hotel room all morning. Mitchell came back to the room, and we walked to Pikes Place Market to explore a bit. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner again (so so yummy!).
At Pike's Place
Friday was the last day of the conference, so on Saturday, we packed our stuff up, checked out, and drove to the Seattle Aquarium. One of the most important things I've learned about Seattle in regards to tourism: the best time to explore all the places is on a weekday. Saturdays are crazy busy. I ran up to Pike's Place by myself to pick out some flowers for Mitchell's mom and it was crazy packed. So was the aquarium when we visited. After the aquarium, we started on our drive home and got home that night. It was a VERY fun trip!!

Eventide organizing-pretty normal

Eventide doesn't look happy...but she was

The girls all tuckered out from the long week with their new souvenirs!

Christmas in Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas again for Christmas and stayed for a week and a half. Eventide and her cousin Braylee get a long SO WELL, so we spent a lot of time with them!
We decorated gingerbread men cookies

We opened our "Secret Santa" sibling gifts on Christmas Eve (and our girls opened their pajamas as well)

And got spoiled on Christmas morning. Mitchell surprised me with a Kindle!!

Everyone is here...time to open presents!

Memory's new "baby."

My mom made the girls a craft box with various crafty stuff-easily one of Eventide favorite presents. Eventide calls it "Stuffis"

Eventide quickly became an old pro with her new bow and arrow.

Lots of snuggling

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at Mitchell's parent's house. It was your typical Thanksgiving...a lot of family and cousins time and we had a LOT of food...and pie. Lots of pie. Eventide threw up shortly after the meal, and did so several more times before the day was through. Mitchell also got sick. Mems too...but still seemed to have enough energy to run and be wild. It was a pretty eventful holiday.

Visit to Las Vegas & my sister's wedding

My sister Jessica got married on November 10th, so I went to Las Vegas for a 2 week family visit and to be there for the wedding. Me and the girls went a week ahead of Mitchell.

I got to meet my sweet little niece McKinley for the first time.
so presh

We arrived on the day of my niece's 1st birthday and party and trunk or treat for my parent's ward. Eventide was Tinkerbell for Halloween and Memory was a ninja. I was the Twister game for like the 6th year in a row.

Family of super heroes!

There was a lot of play time with cousins Braylee & Trinity.

The week after we arrived, my sisters threw a bridal shower for my Jess and Mitchell also arrived.
The baby blanket I made for Jess & Ethan for Jessica's bridal shower. It matches the quilt I made for their wedding gift.

Shortly before the wedding, my brother Aaron, his amazing wife, Ashley, and their two adorable children arrived. We did family pictures the day before the wedding. I love my family!

And then...Jess and Ethan got married!!

Weird hollow wheeled benches that the girls could fit in. So I scooted back and forth, back and forth....back and forth across the house.

My mom took the girls out for a walk, and when she returned, they were like this.

Prego update

A lot has happened  since my last post! We went to Las Vegas for two weeks to visit my family and to be there for my sister Jessica's wedding. We spent Thanksgiving with Mitchell's family, Mitchell, Eventide, and Memory (but mostly Eventide) got pretty sick (we were pretty sure it was food poisoning). Mitchell was only sick for a day, Memory for about 3 days, but was chipper and happy and energetic regardless, and Eventide was miserable for three days. Especially the day that she got it. We are all finally feeling back to normal again (except for me...I still feel pregnant :] ). I'm planning to do a post separate from this one with pictures and stuff from our trip, so more on that later.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now (half way there!!!). I feel the baby moving around a lot more now and every day I feel more. I'm looking forward to when Eventide will be able to feel or see the baby movements. She's excited about the baby!
I had an ultrasound today. I'm always amazed at how much better the ultrasounds are with each baby. I kept saying "wow!" and "that's amazing!" I could see so much detail in the ultrasound that I never saw with my girls. I'm always unimpressed with other peoples' ultrasounds, but always fascinated with my own. Anyway, here are the pictures!

Cute little profile

We are most definitely having a BOY!

I was so surprised when the ultrasound tech showed me that picture that I laughed. I was so sure we were having another girl. I should have known it would be a boy...I thought both Eventide and Mems were going to be a boy and I was wrong then too. I should just always go with the opposite of that "instinct." Anyway, we were just happy to be having another baby and had no preference, so we are excited! Time to start working up a new wardrobe for little Timothy Darwin Colver. :)
