Easter Egg Hunt

Mitchell's family wasn't planning on doing an Easter egg hunt, but I really wanted to do one, so I put one together for Saturday, the day before Easter. We did the hunt at Mitchell's parents (Mitchell was teaching a class and was unable be there). Eventide's cousins were so excited they kept trying to sneak out to the backyard where I was hiding the eggs. Eventide and her cousin Hannah (who is about 8 months older than Eventide) were helping themselves to the easy-to-find eggs scattered around the lawn. I figured I'd give them a bit of a head start since they were the youngest. And it was really cute watching them, anyways. Eventide and her cousins LOVED the hunt. They had a good time and ate lots of candy.:)

Mom's visit

My mom visited for a week and helped out and it was just wonderful! She cooked and cleaned and played a lot with Eventide. Eventide just LOVES her Nana! They went for 2 or 3 walks a day and often times that walk would lead them to Zips and my mom would get us milkshakes. :) We discovered Glee, season 1, on Instant Netflix and had a little Glee marathon. We did a little shopping and they had a sale at JoAnnes, so my mom and I picked out some cute dress patterns, and she taught me how to sew them! We made matching dresses for Memory and Eventide for Easter and they were adorable! We didn't do much on the account that I had just had a baby, but we had a good time! It was relaxing and fun and it was SO nice just to see my mom! My mom left on Easter Sunday, so on Saturday, the day before, we went to my in-laws and had an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins and my mom got to spend Easter morning with us and go to church. It was great to get to spend the day with her and I was SO sad for her to go home. THANKS MOM for visiting and helping out and just being my very favorite Mom in the whole world!

Memory's Baby Blessing

Memory was blessed on April 17th. Both of my parents were able to be there, as well as my Grandpa and Grandma McMurtrey, Mitchell's parents, his brothers (Forest and Andy) and their families, and his sister, Jessica, and her family. Memory's blessing was beautiful! And it was great to have all that family around! We had a "breakfast for lunch" with the family after church. My Dad had to fly home that afternoon, and my Grandparents drove home as well, but my Mom stayed for a whole week afterwards!! I LOVE my family and it was great to be able to share that day with them. :)
